One way to get fresh water from salt water (second reading)

Necessary to obtain purified water, desalination plants are built near the coast to take seawater and other brackish waters. Drinking water is obtained through two systems: either with membranes or with steam
For example in Canary Islands ,
Where do they get drinking water? ...
Nowadays people have investigated a lot of abou it  , so they found ---> DESALINATION PLANT(This membrane is a thin film made of polyamide, which is a petroleum derivative that allows water through but not salt. The first thing is to catch the water for in wells near the coast, from which is pumped to a plant. Once here, the water is filtered several times in a large appliances.)
This machine is very helpfull but is too expensive, maybe in some countries tha are excellent in the economic aspect could buy this membrane but in PERÚ , I think that is so far of our imagination.

WE COULD DO THAT IF THE GVERMENT START TO THINK MORE ABOUT THE FUTURE AND THE PROBLEMS IN THE ENVIROMENT ..

Did you know that ??

THE THEORY OF MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES:

The person who propose that theory was Howard Gardner. He said taht there are a variety of cognitive abilities.Gardner believes that the principal abilities are eight:Spatial ,Linguistic, Logical-mathematical, Bodily-kinesthetic, Musical, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Naturalistic.Acording to the information that Howard gave all of us have a speciall ability and we have to discover what special ability we have. So we have to work with our intelligences because that too important.

CHILDREN´S SEXUAL ABUSE

Children´s sexual abuse is a big problem in all the world. As you know each year this problem is increased and nobody do anything to stop it. I was really sad when I hear in the TV that one father tried to abuse of his own daugther. I think the authorities don´t do anything to reduce this problem because when a case of these is reported the rapist don´t go to the prission that´s why people prefer to take the justice with their own hands but in my oppinion it is terrible. That´s why I believe that is very important that the goverment find a good solution to reduced this problem and, also parents must be careful and they should give more attention to their childrens because they are helpless people who need a lot of love and care. Never forget that they are the future of the country.

ORGAN DONATION

Through organ donation people have advanced knowledge, saved lives and expressed love for their fellow human beings, yet the need for organs remains great.
Although organ donation is a personal and controversial decision, the fact is, besides his organs there is nothing for a donor to lose and much for everyone to gain.
"Each organ and tissue donor saves or improves the lives of as many as 50 people." This is because doctors may be able to harvest several organs and tissues from the deceased donor, therefore saving or improving more than one person's life.

the souks of Marrakech

Marrakech in Morocco looks like a Hollywood film set. It is a city of ancient, sand-coloured buildings and palm trees in the middle of the desert.
in the centre is the main square, Jemaa el Fna. here you can see dancing snakes and drink Moroccan coffee. But behind the square is the real heart of the city. This is the souk( the arab word for market). Hundreds of little shops and stalls are open from early morning till lunchtime, and again in the evening. The souk, with its narrow, busy streets, is divided into lots of smaller souks, the gold and silver souk, and many more.
there's the carpet souk. Here, hundreds of handmade Moroccan rugs and carpets cover the pavements. No two rugs are the same. In Mr. Youssaf's rug shop, he invites you to sit down among all the beautiful carpets. A silver teapot arrives with little glasses and Mr. Youssaf talks about the different rugs, while his assistants roll them out one by one. Two hours later, after many glasses of traditional mint tea and lots of bargaining, you finally choose your rug and leave much poorer.Them it's time to return to the main square to watch the snakes and count your money.

How to save water?

You know that in coming years, we are going to run out of water. In fact, many scientists claim by 2025, people will have to fight to get a drop of water. So, I was looking for easier ways we can use to reduce the amount of water in our home and also save money on our water bill.

Place two filled bottles in the cistern and save 2 to 4 gallons each time you use it. Do not use the toilet as a wastebasket.

Turn off the tap when brushing your teeth or shave; you can save up to 10 l.

Take a shower instead of bathe, save 150 l.

Watering in the evening to avoid evaporation losses. Plants will thank you!

Avoid using bleach, use organic detergents without phosphates.

Choose native plants for your garden because they use less water and are much less work than non-native plants also attract butterflies and do not require the use of chemicals for maintenance.

Don’t forget to save water because every drop counts.

Planned Obsolescence

Well, I read about this topic and the lecture showed how many companies try to do the time life of their products were in short time, in order to people can purchase again and so.

Thats a big problem. It started 1932. Since then, the planned obsolescence was get for many companies because they saw the products that companies made have a great duration, Companies thought if they made good products, people could not purchase again their products and so they can lose a lot money. So companies decided to make products with a short period of life.

Nowadays, the majority of companies follow this idea: We can see in many productos such as cellphones' batteries (the time life of a battery is 1 or two yeas) or the bulb lights.

The effect that Planned Obsolescence produce is the residues increase and increase, all of the pollute the environment.

In my opinion, I think If companies produce their products to offer people, companies must offer an alternative to recicle them, in order to save the world.

Think about that.

Nikolas Giron/ Hispanics impacted by air pollution

Nowadays there is a lot of people that travel to United States in order to have "a better style of life", but when they arrive the reality is another because frecuently they have to live in counties and poor communities where there are a lot of air pollutants exactly smog and ozone. Consequently they are likely to get illnesses like asthma, well at this time the number of children who have this illness is growing, actually it is 10.4 percent of the child population and maybe it will increase on the subsequent years. By the way, latino's children are likely to be hospitalized for asthma and visit the emergency room compared to non-latino children.

In my opinion the government of the U.S has to do something to bring a real better style of life to the people who travel to its country. A possible solution can be that the government has to elaborate a law to impide the unnecessary emanation of pollutants in order to decrease the percentage of children with asthma.

Elephants in the Sky

For this first report I was reading a book written by Dennis L Siluk that is titled "The Tale of the Jumping Serpents of Bosnia". In this book there is a history that called my attention, its title is "Elephants in the Sky".

This tale relates a fantastic event that took place in the legendary city of Timbuktu, Mali; an event that unfortunately for the writer is not fiction. He starts his tale describing swarms of locust everywhere around his stopped car, a dark shadow covering the sky. His car had been slipping a wile before it couldn't work anymore so he had to pull it to one side of the road; some meters down the street, he saw three adolescents trying to beat these terrible hoppers, they were using their belts, forearms, hats and hands. Then one resorted to a stick that made him asked himself, would you use a stick? Under normal circumstances unimaginable, but in reality, in that moment, anything in ones hand that can reach out and swat the little beasts becomes possible. He say these beasts were dropping down like hail onto them from all sides, like the plagues in the days of Moses, they were in their hair, noses, ears, climbing up their pants legs, flying straight for their mouths.

He was just crouched forward to peer through the blinding storm of locust, with his heart beating two-hundred bangs a minute; it was a form of dying slowly; melting of the heart, you might say until you couldn't breathe, he say. He was breathing in the hot air in his rental jeep, it seemed to him he was recycling his own air, something that got worse at mid-afternoon; with all these hoppers, like little elephants on the hood, such as they knew he was trapped in the car; trying to eat his tires, trying to get into the jeep and eat him. Then, sitting behind the wheel, he'd calculate (in his head) the weight volume of these pests, it was like 5000 elephants dropping from the sky.

Because a friend had told him, he knew the best time to run away was early in the morning, when everything cools down, so at 2:00 AM an automatic clock in his head woke him up, it was dark out there. He took a flashlight and go out of the car to fix it, without making any sound he walked around and oppened the hood of the car, then he removed all the hoppers and their carcasses, cleaning the engine to make it works. Whereupon he took five gallon can of gasoline that then poured on the side of the road, finaly he lit the gasoline by throwing a match out of the window and hit the accelerator, going as fast as his jeep could go.

TOPIARY ART

I always wanted to know what it was called the art that uses plants to design creative and beautiful figures so, someone very special to me told me that this art was known as the topiary. Then, I decided to find out more about this wonderful art. It says Topiary art is a purely ornamental pruning, getting to know these creations as "living sculptures". This work is to guide the plant to a special form imposed by the imagination of the gardener or designerthis kind of art has its origin in Roman gardens and their main objective is to attract the viewer's attention with just a glance like a love at first sight. In fact, it takes many years of patience and dedication to achieve truly spectacular results.Besides, plants used are those of slower growth, such as Cypress, Laurel, Yew, Ficus benjamina, Ficus nitida, Pitosporo, Leilandi. So, after know more about Topiary art, I would like to take it up as a leisure activity.

Procter Amp Gamble Animal Testing | RM.Have you ever wondered how many animals suffer in labs in the cosmetic industry? This is an issue that gets over looked and no one cares about. The estimate of animals killed and experimented in the United States every year is one hundred and fifteen million animals. I understand medication being tested on animals but the cosmetic industry should not test on animals because its animal cruelty, the testing is not accurate, and there are other ways to test products.
First reason they should not test on animals is because it’s animal cruelty. In America animal abuse is illegal. Testing on animals is abuse! Everyday millions of animals are locked in small cages giving them only enough room to turn around, and they have makeup put on them, and thousands die from it everyday. Animals do not have voices to speak for themselves and that’s what makes it abuse.

Portable University

By Jasiel Freddy Juica Cenizario - A01 - ICPNA-RC

Well, I was reading a interesting article in where shows the knowledge and the education at university is very important, that's the reason why people invest a lot in order to get a good education, but this reading try to tell us universities were created to people may work in big companies stablished in diferent parts of the world, so that's good. Nowadays those ideas had changed, people are able to create their own business, or anything they like to do. That is the reason why internet had given the oportunity that many people can make money easily, creating business online and give services, sell products, etc.

On this times, people can get the knowledge personally by libraries and the wish of one, oneself can read in home in order to get more knowledge and so save money.

I think Knowledge is part of everybody who want to get, is not necessary to have diploma, title, the one thing which is necessary is the strongest wish to get wisdom, obviously with a good schedule.

That is the reason why this reading is called Portable University.

Ángela Yangali Pareja A01(6:45 - 8:15) .......... [ Freddie Mercury from QUEEN (band) ]

FREDDIE MERCURY was a gifted musician .His birth name was Farrokh Bulsara.
He was born on september 5th in 1946 , in
Tanzania (in those days called Zanzibar)
Because of Zanzibar revolution; he moved to England. THere he studied art; later using his knowledge , designed the queen's crest.

In April 1970, Mercury joined guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor who had previously been in a band called Smile. so he changed this band's name to Queen.

Mercury's voice was terrific. He was able to to glide effortlessly from a register to another. He also had a great musicality. His phrasing was subtle, delicate and sweet or energetic and slamming.
Talking about his live performer he was definitely a man who could hold an audience in the palm of his hand. Something contradictory because without audience he was a very shy man.

At 35 years old, he died of bronchopneumonia; one day after publishing that he had been tested HIV positive and had AIDS; on 24 November 1991.

Nikolas Giron Mineral resources: When blessing became a burden

Well, in Nigeria the mines are polluting the water and for that the people can't plant vegetables neither they can fish in the river. B y the way the life expectancy is lower and lowereach day because they don't have safe water to drink and the ranks of mineral are higher exactky the water in that place has manganese and chromium.
In my opinion is good to use mines to earn money but the problem is when we are damaging the health of people and consequently we are damaging to the next generations.

Migue Black cats may be unlucky, but what about a glowing cat?

there are some scientist trying to cure the AIDS and the HIV but at the same of humans, the cats have almost the same illness (FIV- feline inmunodeficiency virus) so they found a way to prevent those illnesses in cats. They inserted a jellyfish gene with the FIV resistance gene so this process makes that the cat start blowing. "It can help cats as much as people" said the scientist in the interview.
