san roque's day

sincos is a Jauja's distric that celebrates the San Roque's day. this holiday is on August 16 th;people go to the church in the morning and listen to the mass, after going to the procession and do "alfombras" with flowers. In the church, they are given a brach of "romero".
Everybody eats "lechon with potato" because it's a traditional food. In this holiday, you can buy delicious bread, yacon and "tiestos", it is a pot made of clay.
It's costumary to dance "chonguinada" and "avelinos". the dancers wear traditional clothing and the music is special because the orchestra plays diferent melodies. I like this holiday

  2. It sounds so interesting; I would like to go for the next year to see those dances and "alfombras" and to eat "lechon with potato" because in my opinion when you eat the tradicional food in its holiday it tastes different.
