Dear Helen,

I am happy for your early visit. I want to explain to you about the social customs of Peru, because this can be confusing.

The greeting is with a shake hand or if you prefer you can give a kiss on the cheek. If someone makes direct eye contact you do not get angry, because this is common in my country. 

In many places of Peru. People wear traditional clothing and they eat tradicional food. The traditional food is very rich, you'll like it. 

Finally, you are going to spend a nice vacation. Here there are many nice places and the Peruvians are friendly and welcoming people.
