__Nowadays, we recognize English as the global language; it has had a huge growth around the world in the last decade. David Crystal, an expert, approximates that for 350 million of people English is their first language, and possibly from 250 to 350 million use it as their second language (The World) 1.
__The popularity of English start to growth with the invention of the computer and the internet because most of web was in English; however, it has changed, and we can see that English is losing his dominance in the web. Therefore, in think that the future status of English as the global language is not assured.
__It is know that United States is the biggest develop country in the world, and it has the control of the trade of a lot of thing, so it was a good idea to speak English because it will make easier the economical relationship with this country; however, United States has been going through some economic problems, and it has produced in a way the lost of the power that English, its official language, had some years ago.
__People that are in favor of having English as a unique global language think that it will help in the relationship between countries and people, but they don’t think that if we use English as a unique language, we are accepting the lost of our culture, the lost of our uniqueness, the lost of some languages like Quechua and Aymara because sooner or later we will forget that these languages existed.
__Some people say that English will be always the global language and that everybody will need to learn English at some point of their life; nonetheless, there is another language that is becoming more and more popular every day. This language is Mandarin, the official language of china and some other Asian countries.
__In conclusion, no one knows if English will stop being the global language; still, there is a lot of reasons that make us think that it won’t the global language anymore.

Your essay has all three parts ; introduction, body, and conclution and you used point-by-point organization. In your introduction you used a surprising statistic, and it ends with your thesis statement. The body has three paragraphs, and you used the other side’s arguments and your own counterarguments . I n your conclution you restate your opinión. So I really like your essay
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, your essay is complete and I really enjoy reading your essay, because in the first paragraph you used an statistic that show how many people talk in English an in your thesis statement you show us that some people think that English is taking the control of many things but is not, your essay has and introduction, body, the conclusion and your thesis statement it clearly states that you are not agree that English will be the global language;also you use othe side´sarguments and your own counterarguments. i think you use point-by-pint oragtization
