SHOULD MARIGUANA BE LEGALIZED?

Mariguana an illegal drug and harmful substance for people´s body is now in debate if it should be legalized or should be banned. Nowadays people consume this drug without taking care about their health and without thinking the consequences that mariguana causes to them. Nonetheless, people of all ages keep taking this drug as a way to relax or as a medicine as it was in Asia. On the other hand, I think that mariguana should not be legalized for 3 reasons.

Opponents said that mariguana should be legal because it is not addictive and there is no a research that could reveal that mariguana can cause death; furthermore, mariguana doesn´t cause cancer as cigarettes does. I think that they are wrong because mariguana cause memory loss and makes people hallucinate and also there is a research that claim that no matter how often you consume this drug, once you start consuming mariguana you won´t be able to leave it.  In addition to that mariguana is assured as the most harmful thing that our society have.

Opponents keep saying that mariguana can be a drug; however, it is used as a medical treatment for many illnesses such as cancer and AIDS which is why mariguana should be legalized. In my opinion, I think that this argument is totally wrong and they said that as a way to promote people to think that mariguana is good for people lives and to make them in favor to legalize this drug. There is no research that mariguana is used as a medical treatment.

The final argument by opponents is that mariguana should not be banned by the government because in some way it makes people earn a lot of money; however, they don´t know that planting mariguana makes that many other areas has been cut down due to this plantation of mariguana. For instance, in many natural areas of peru has been destroy by this illegal plantation.

In conclusion, arguments from this people are not valid, they just want mariguana to be legalized for their own benefits. On the other hand, they don´t know that mariguana is making young and adult people addict.
