1.Express opinions, doubts, confusions, and convictions that come to your mind as you think about what you have read. Watch and write about how these things change over time. Include title of book, article, magazine, etc. that you are reading.
Years ago, I've read an article called women's roles and actions in peruvian families. First, this article said the mayority of women's role is being a housewife, so no carrer, no hopes and no success in life . Second, the engagement rite that women from highlands have to pass to get married is to peel a potato without broken; this rite determines if you will be a good housewife and mother. According to this article, there is a supposed unpleasent action that many women commit with their husbands, so they mean to an aphrodisiac drink that is made by infussion women's underwear called vulgarly "agua de poto" which women give to their husbands to avoid their infidelity. And third, women from highlands have more children than women from coast and jungle.
Having read this article, I though that some arguments were right, but now I totally disagree. First, this article is generalizing peruvian women; many women are succesful because of their willingness of facing problems, making their dreams come true and fulfiling their goals. Second, the engagment rites is not big deal that every women have to fulfil, also our education and moral are the ones that determines our life. In addition, I have a doubt, how the author proof that the mayority of women try this method to avoid infidelity, did he make a survey? To have a successful marital life, it is not necessary to try unpleasent methods. Furthermore, I think there is no women who apply this method because communication and confidence are the ones that determines if your husband is infidel or not. And third, the education of women determines the number of children that they will have; however many years ago, many women used to have many children, that was because they didn't know the family planning and also government priori, but now there are many methods to avoid unplanned pregnancy.
