There are many ways to celebrate Christmas around the world; however, we have a particular way to celebrate it in Huancayo, even at homes. The most popular character of this celebration is Santa Claus. Also we cannot leave apart the turkey, or the gifts. But the particular celebration is about the Jesus' Birth, which is the real intention of Christmas. This celebration causes sensation in our city by the new ways to celebrate it, but here we have some customs people in huancayo do generally, without mention the new trends.
If you want to have a really nice Christmas here you have some steps. First of all, when the Christmas time is near you have to buy Christmas ornaments and get ready the gifts for relatives or someone else you love and you want to give a surprise. Then get your Christmas' tree decorated, put the ornaments and lights arund home without calling much the attention, and do not forget to hide the gifts until the Christmas' day. Specially kids are emotionated with them, they are the most interested on them.
Next you have to make a Jesus' birth scene, choose the better place at home to make it. Furtheremore you can do it with kids and relatives while you enjoy this precious time. once you finish to make the scene take care of the baby until the Christmas' day which is at 24th December midnight. The 24th day night of December you must have the turkey baked, wine, Christmas bread and the chocolate prepared. It's important to have the table prepared with all the necessary things for this celebration before this important dinner, the family should be complet.
Finally you must be involved with the Christmas spirit an up to enjoy it with family. So you have to thank God for your life, safe and well-being among the most important things you are or you have. Then you can greet with a hug family members, friends and relatives. Moreover do not forget to share gifts and food together and be happy, too.
In conclusion, this celebration it's not only a time where people garnish homes, share gifts, eat or drink, but also it's a celebration where the Christmas' spirit represents the Jesus' birth which make us happy joining family and each year it join the family.
